Delftse vrouwen dansen Break the Chain

Ook dit jaar nam Soroptimistclub Delft weer deel aan Internationale Vrouwendag in Delft. En wel met een hele bijzondere activiteit: de eerste gezamenlijke activiteit van Het Vrouwen in Delft platform, een initiatief van Soroptimist Delft. 


Dansen tegen geweld en voor verbinding
Vele Delftse vrouwen uit vele culturen gingen met elkaar de verbinding aan en dansten Break the Chain, als symbool in de strijd tegen geweld. De Vrouwendans `Break the chain` is ontworpen om vrouwen kracht te geven en te verbinden in hun strijd tegen geweld. Die is door heel veel vrouwen in Afrika al uitgevoerd. Voor het eerst werd deze dans in Nederland gedanst! In Delft. Een aantal Soroptimisten verzorgden de heerlijke hapjes en drankjes aan het einde.

Met dank aan iedereen die heeft bijgedragen aan de organisatie, promotie van deze bijeenkomst. In het bijzonder de dansdocente Feliciana, Lucie en uiteraard de 8 maart commissie van onze Soroptimistclub: Wouke Lam, Laurien Willemse en Sabine Jähnichen.
